The dark maned cat slowly walked towards where the pride would normally be found. When Queen Destiny said most of her pride left she wasn't kidding. Lux so far hasn't seen a soul in sight besides the queen herself. Everything else was a waste land, however it was rather beautiful. The lion was used to places similar like this but he was secretly hoping for the place to grow. He didn't join and become a Mercenary and protect a territory with no lions. His large paws crunched the mushy land, leaving paw prints behind him in the mud. Rainy Season was in full bloom leaving the land somber but lively with the herds coming back to feed. It was a glorious yet wet time that left the Mercenary moody. The lion hated water and getting his feet wet. He didn't mind them getting dirty, but wet was a total different thing. At least to him that is. Letting out a moody sigh Lux looked around. His eyes landed on a tree with a few bushes near it.
It looked like a good place to rest and wait out the storm that was brewing. It was slightly drizzling, but otherwise it was calm and quite as animals looked for shelter. Reaching the area Lux laid down in the shade on the cool ground. A loud yawn escaped his mighty jaws, showing the deadly teeth they hid to all before closing. There Lux rested, waiting for some kind of action to happen.
